Day Off
So I had Monday off to observe Presidents Day! One of the great perks to being a teacher. So I decided to book all my doc appts on that day so I didn't have to take any time off to do them. Well I had something done called sclerotherapy. In doctor terms it is a solution that is injected into your varicose veins and over a span on three months it will eat away the vein and make it vanish. In my terms it means-little needle stuck into your legs about 30 times injecting something that burns like hell and for the next 24 hours you will be in pain oh and don't expect to sleep that night.
So I took today off. I didn't sleep at ALL and the thought of being around five year olds with the possabililty of them hitting my legs did not sound like fun at all.
So back to Pres Day, my Grandfather and Dad are in town and last night we went to dinner. And by we I mean my roommate, Miss M, my boyfriend, my brother, Pa's friend, and Dad and Pa. It was a good time had by all and the fact that we went to dinner at Hooters I knew it would be. It really felt good to have my friends and boyfriend there to meet and hang out and have a good time with a part of my family. I knew this was going to be a once in a lifetime chance to meet them so I was glad they all showed up. And of coarse my Dad and Pa were in rare form. Drunk, loud as hell, and checking out the waitresses any time they got a chance.
At one point of the night I sat with my Dad just talking to him. He told me that he was kinda sad that he couldn't intimidate my boyfriend because he looks like he can hold his own. That's when I looked across the table and watch as not only is he talking and having a good time with my friends but also with my grandfather and dad. I think I have only let maybe one other boyfriend of mine in my life meet those two and he was really scared of them. But then my dad said "That one is a keeper, I like him." I told him I have to agreed with that!
It was a really good night and a lot of fun. Oh and there is so much to tell what happened that night and luckily Miss M has done that for me. At least the really funny parts. So check it out to see from her point of view of the night! Enjoy! http://splendidmissm.blogspot.com/
